Information
Welcome to Sports Networking, the networking group that takes you out of stuffy hotels and conference rooms and places you into a relaxed and fun environment where you can network with other businesses without set agenda's.
Here is some general information that new members will want to know...
Q. Where do the meetings take place?
A. Our meetings are usually held at Golf Clubs across the country. Where possible we have some time for some pre-golf refreshments to introduce each other before teeing off.
Q. What if I'm no good at golf?
A. We're not expecting you to be a scratch golfer and all our members are of differing abilities. Members are given a handycap and teams are mixed to ensure people do not hold others up.
Q. Do I need to guarentee leads each time I attend?
A. No, there is no minimum lead figure but we all want to get leads and it's very much a give and take business so we all try to help each other out in anyway we can.
Q. Where are events held?
A. Keep coming back to our website for details of the next event - see the Events Tab.
Q. Why should I network?
A. Networking means building relationships over a sustained period of time. If you advertise in the newspaper, it's "here today, gone tomorrow". Good leads come from referrals!
Q. Is networking expensive?
A. The good news is that it's one of the least expensive forms of advertising, yet one of the most effective.
Q. Will I have to stand up and talk about my business in front of people I don't know?
A. We don't force anyone to do anything they don't want to do. Some new members just mingle at there own pace whilst other make a point of intruducing themselves to everyone at the first event. This is down to the individual. To make your transition into the group easier we ask you to contact us or a current member to find out about the group. Everyone was a "newbie" once and we're a friendly lot so feel free to talk to us.
Q. Are there any restrictions on the type of business I run?
A. We only stipluate that one business type is present to prevent 'stepping on any toes'. For example, only one Plumber, one Accountant, one Office Supplier, etc will be allowed per session. We will be running sessions across the UK so if you're local one is full, you can try another.
